Pozole and Goodbyes

Tomorrow we will celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary!  Woo hoo!  Last year, on our first anniversary, we decided to start a tradition.  We like making all sorts of traditions.  Well, the tradition was that I would surprise Adam with picking some local restaurant we had never eaten at before, and we would also go see a movie.  Last year we went to a place called Crescent City which had lots of good local sea food.  This year I picked a little Mexican place called Mama Alma's, and we also saw The Hobbit.  Well, I did good!  Adam has always talked about a hominy soup that he loved while in Mexico, but that he has never found it at any restaurants here in the states.  Well, this place had it!  He loved it!  The food was very delicious and Adam says very authentic as well!

We also said goodbye to one of our really good friends.  His name is Bryan.  He came here accepted into the polymer science masters/PhD program with all his tuition paid on a research graduate assistantship.  He is pretty smart to say the least.  While he was here he decided that he wasn't doing what he was supposed to be doing and left the program to go on a mission.  He is going to be a great missionary, but we will miss him and admire him for the decision he made!

Out with the old...

We finally got to move!  We were quickly out growing our little 1 bedroom apartment with all the fun new baby gear we were accumulating.  We were getting pretty creative with our storage.  A picture is worth 1,000 words, so...

Exhibit A: Our tiny storage closet filled with baby things and cleaning supplies.

Exhibit B: All the baby lotions, shampoos, and some wipes stored in a little book shelf.

Exhibit C: The changing table acting as a book shelf/baby stuff shelf/spot for anything that didn't have any other place.

Exhibit D: Adam's shoes stored in the car seat bases under the bed.

We were glad to move somewhere a little bigger where we could have a place to put everything!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a wonderful holiday!  We spent it in Tupelo with Adam's family.  One of his brothers was there with his family as well as his sister and her family.  It was fun to be around the kids and watch them run and play together.  They always have so much fun when they are together!

After dinner, when all of our tummies were so full we decided to go on a little walk and enjoy the fall leaves!

Hope everyone had as much fun over Thanksgiving break as we did!
