Baton Rouge

Something we try to do every month is go to the temple.  We have really come to love the Baton Rouge temple and always look forward to going.  Yesterday we were able to make a trip to Baton Rouge and go to the temple.  I especially liked the nice cool weather yesterday!  Adam said it was too cold, but I think yesterday was about perfect!

I also love going to Baton Rouge because 2 of our favorite restaurants are side by side!  I always feel bad when I eat at one because I feel like I am betraying the other.

This time we ate at Five Guys.

Best Weekend Ever!

This weekend was one of my favorite weekends we have had in a while.  It was very relaxed and we were able to do whatever we wanted!  It started off with a jazz concert and dinner in the park followed by a movie and ice cream at home.

Saturday we had planned on going bowling with some friends, so after going to one of our favorite restaurants for a late breakfast we went bowling!  I. Love. Bowling.

Of course I won the first game.  I was "J", and Adam was "W".  I barely got him!

Adam wanted to join the fun, so he had a bowling ball belly.  I think mine was still bigger.

Adam's Birthday

Happy Birthday to Adam!  Just before his birthday he got to take a little trip up to Virginia to talk to an elementary school about doing his 5th semester internship with them.  It went well and it looks like we will be in Virginia next fall!

He turned 26 last week and of course we celebrated.  He appreciated all the nice cards, gifts, and phone calls from family.

I surprised him with breakfast.  I told him I had to be at work early, but instead I got a smoothie and a big muffin from the bakery.  I am so sneaky!

That day I had work and he had school, but we did have a little party that night.  Adam has wanted an ice cream cake for his birthday for the past few years, and this year he finally got it!

Happy Conference weekend!  It is finally starting to feel like fall, at least in the evenings.  Last night the temperature dropped to a wonderful 67 degrees and we celebrated with hot chocolate on the porch!  I am very ready for the weather to cool down and I was glad for a nice autumn breeze last night.

Also, this morning I woke up to a nice surprise.  After being inspired at the priesthood session last night, Adam decided that he would go pick me a flower first thing in the morning.  He woke up, put his shoes on and said he would be right back.  It took about 10 minutes before he came back and I was starting to get curious.  He had to go on a little trek to find it, but he came back with this cute little purple flower and said it was just to be nice.  How sweet!

First off, happy birthday to my lil sis Brittany!  Today is her big day and from what I heard it was a good one.

Now, here is a very common sight in our home.

Some people are addicted to video games, some to facebook, Adam is addicted to chess.  Yep.  Chess.  He plays at least a few games a day online. Maybe I ought to learn so I can play with him.

Also, the belly is getting bigger!  The stripes seem to really accent how big it  is getting.

I go to the doctor this week for a check up, glucose testing, and for routine blood work.  Everything seems like it should be fine and that I am right on schedule as far as growth and weight gain!

One thing that we love about fall is football!  We haven't been to any games yet this year, but tailgating and games are sure to come in the near future!

Also, we were very lucky to have some nice friends donate to our baby cause by giving us their crib and changing table they no longer need.  These are some little "thank you" caramel apple baskets.  Adam liked them and suggested I showed them off with a few pictures.

Take a bite of apple, take a bite of caramel, eat a some chocolate, chew on a candy corn.

Basically we wanted to start a blog, mostly for our Mother's.  So mothers...this is for you (and anyone else that may be interested in our Sunday's pictures).  A picture a week. Sunday's pictures.

We decided to do a little pregnancy photo shoot to remember the belly.  It is getting bigger every day!

26 weeks down and only 14 to go!!
